VP, Production Support, Mainframe

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Production Support to join our Global Clearing  team. This role is located in Lake Mary, LM or Pittsburgh, PA.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

• Experience supporting production applications in a 24x7/always-on environment, including on-call rotation support.

• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across application, OS, and infrastructure layers; able to drive complex incidents to resolution.

• Hands-on experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability (metrics, logs, traces), including defining SLIs/SLOs and tuning alerts to reduce noise.

• Problem management experience, including post-incident reviews, corrective/preventive actions, and tracking issues to closure.

• Release and change management experience (production readiness reviews, deployment validation, rollback planning, and change controls/PTO).

• Capacity and performance management skills; ability to identify bottlenecks, forecast demand, and recommend scaling improvements.

• Ability to partner effectively with development, QA, operations, and infrastructure teams; clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Documentation skills, including creation of runbooks, operating procedures, architectural diagrams, and design specifications.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. EXPERIENCE: - Typically 6-10 years of experience. SKILLS: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on client service. - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively across teams.  

• AI: Demonstrated skill in AI prompting and the practical use of AI tools to improve development productivity, problem-solving, and support workflows

• Experience: 12+ years in production support (L2) for both mainframe and Java technologies.

• Mainframe: Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM.

• Java: Proficiency in Java, RESTful Web Services, SQL, and Unix/Linux environments.

• Tools: Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, AppD), ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow), and version control (e.g., Git/Windsurf).

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, with experience in high-pressure 24x7 environments
