Skills:
Tivoli Workload Scheduler(TWS) on Mainframe(Z/OS) Monitor the batch cycle jobs. Tool : TWS Handle job abends, Escalate on time to appropriate teams in meeting the service level. Restarts the jobs as per Request using TWS
Good Understanding of the OPC and batch scheduling concepts
Prepares work schedules, controls workflow, provide technical guidance and operational assistance to the staff, and coordinates all aspects of Production Services Support performance.
Ensures that Production Services Support and Operations has the proper system documentation and training.
Escalates, documents and controls Production Services Support related problems.
Recommends appropriate process improvements for staff training, batch processes, problem detection and management, quality controls, change control and scheduling.
Responsible for batch scheduling in Mainframe environment as well as the End to End side of TWS/z.
Guide application teams through established processes to maintain Production Control standards.
Interpret business requirements and engage business IT customers with implementation of Production Control best practices, batch lifecycle standards, and schedule deployment processes.
Create and maintain process documentation and standards.
Investigate root cause analysis of batch scheduling dependencies across disparate groups.
