Job Description
The Senior Systems Administrator supports AFSOC PED to provide IT support at Hurlburt Field, FL. The Senior Systems Administrator provides systems administration and IT maintenance activities to support 24/7/365 operations across all PED sites. The performance of this position is key to RavenTek's performance on the contract, and therefore RavenTek's mission to support SOCOM.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Install, maintain, configure, and ensure integrity of computer software
Implement operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system
Provide second-tier support to end-users for PC server, mainframe applications, and hardware
Resolve problems that the first tier of help desk support is unable to resolve
Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problem
Simulate/recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties and/or errors
Recommend systems modifications to reduce user problems
Maintain currency and highest level of technical skill in field of expertise to be facilitated as outlined in section
Assist with identification of equipment that needs to be acquired, equipment sustainment, and equipment distribution
Assist configuration manager with shipping and control, to include equipment pickup, packing, shipping and tracking
Enter actual time worked, once complete, at the end of the day, or no later than 10:00 a.m. the following workday, and submit timesheets at the end of each pay period
Submit MSRs (weekly, monthly, etc.)
Monitor RavenTek email on a regular basis, at least 3 times per week, and respond accordingly
Complete required compliance training as assigned

Education & Work Experience
B.S. Degree or 7 years relevant experience in lieu of degree
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is required
Certifications, Licenses
DOD 8570 IAT Level 2 Certification

Top Secret/SCI
Work Environment
When working on-site, employee will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. Potential moderate temperature fluctuations. Typical indoor and computer related noise level, and typical office, paper, and equipment related dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis.
Physical Demands
Employees need to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Most positions require the ability to work on a desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Employees may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
