Job Description
Nakupuna Companies is looking for a Senior Mainframe Analyst to provide Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Business Systems Center (BSC) contractor support services to support Development efforts. The Senior Mainframe Analyst will provide technical expertise to modernize legacy systems, support system migrations, and ensure high-quality, reliable application performance in an Agile environment. This role will collaborate with government stakeholders and technical teams to analyze requirements, develop automated testing strategies, and support mission-critical systems for NAVSUP BSC in Mechanicsburg, PA.
Responsibilities

Provide engineering expertise for the design, development, implementation, and sustainment of IT solutions that enhance overall system performance and availability
Provide functional knowledge expertise for assigned applications and perform assigned tasks for assigned applications
Obtain requirements from customers/users
Develop documentation based upon Agile Scrum best practices and the NAVSUP BSC Service Delivery Model
Provide pre-implementation training resources to customers/users
Support resolution of Production Outages
Create and update work items in AzDO
Analyze Mainframe JCL and mainframe utility system requirements, convert functional design to detailed logic for coding into computer language for the assigned software systems/modules/components
Perform required testing based upon Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done, assuring software and systems quality and functionality
Qualifications
The following are desirable qualifications/levels of experience:
Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., Mainframe JCL, Mainframe Utilities)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
Ability to identify and solve complex business problems
Strong analytical skills to analyze data and draw meaningful insights
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in requirements and documentation
Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities
Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with team members
Knowledge of business processes, industry trends, and best practices
Ability to think strategically and align business solutions with organizational goals
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of college/work experience plus 3 years of experience in agile concepts and principles and experience participating in agile teams
Minimum 5 years of experience in eliciting, documenting, and validating business requirements
Required: CompTIA Security +
Military Installation Access: Must be able to qualify for and obtain a base access pass. Must be able to obtain a favorable National Security Agency Check (NACI) including an FBI fingerprint check. Must be a U.S. citizen.
Travel: Travel will not occur regularly and will typically be less than 5% of the time.
