Senior Cobol Developer
What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a/an Senior Cobol Developer within our Corporate Payments division. This position falls under our Corporate Payments line of business and is located in Remote. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-volume financial applications while leading complex development efforts. You will report directly to VP, Compliance and regularly collaborate with engineering, product management, operations, and infrastructure teams.

Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include:
Managing the direction of coding logic including conducting and guiding code reviews
Working independently on all tasks
Designing, developing, and maintaining custom applications or configurations of corporate application systems and services
Analyzing and designing application systems encompassing the development, modification and translation of user requirements
Planning, investigating, and proposing systems and application solutions
Preparing workflows for writing, testing and maintaining computer programs
Communicating effectively with product management, project management, and other stakeholders in preparation of application design specifications
Encoding, testing, debugging, and installing operating programs and procedures in coordination with Operations and Infrastructure departments
Correcting, testing, and documenting changes to existing programs
Conducting training and presentations for users and other stakeholders
Supporting existing applications
Leading small development teams on complex application development efforts
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 5–7 years of experience
Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
Must-haves:
Programming Languages/Tools: COBOL, CICS, JCL, SQL, DB2
Environment: IBM Mainframe using TSO / ISPF
Agile project management experience
Nice-to-haves:
Knowledge or experience with MQ Series, EXCI, XML, SCLM, IBM Debug, MicroFocus Revolve, Tivoli
Hands-on experience in object-oriented languages/frameworks (Java, C#, JEE, .NET), RDBMS (Microsoft SQL or Oracle), and web technologies (HTML/JavaScript)
Experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDE) – RDz, Eclipse, or MS Visual Studio
Advanced degree – MBA or MS
Self-motivated and interested in working closely with the business in support of transaction processing and financial services businesses
Keen to explore software development and support in a high-volume transaction processing environment or business systems

The estimate of the minimum and maximum salary range is $110,000–$140,000.
