Job Description
An exciting opportunity has opened up for a QA Lead within the QA Team at Davy. This is an ideal role for a Senior QA professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and can deliver work to tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player with the ability to take full ownership of projects and can champion quality throughout the full software development lifecycle.
In the role, the successful candidate will:
Deeply understand the business domain, customer needs, and regulatory context of financial services
Act as the main QA point of contact for business and technical stakeholders
Shape, own, and continuously improve the overall testing
Recommend process improvements and refinement of QA practices across teams
Ensure quality is embedded early in the delivery process
Balance hands on testing with leadership and strategic responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and support other QA team members
Analyse and clarify requirements, specifications, and technical documentation
Assess risks, prioritise testing accordingly, and proactively communicate issues
Track quality issues, provide clear reporting, and drive resolution
Define and monitor quality metrics
About you
We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:
10+ years of experience in software testing
5+ years in leading projects and resources
Proven experience managing mainframe projects
Experience shaping and implementing testing strategies
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience with CI/CD and DevOps environments
Experience with standard testing and defect-tracking tools and QA processes
Experience working in Waterfall and Agile teams
Bachelor's degree or comparable knowledge and experience.

Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Communication skills
Teamwork
Leadership skills
Experience in Stocking or financial services (preferred)
ISTQB certification (preferred)
