MECM Programmatic Systems Engineer
Job Description
KEY REQUIRED SKILLS:
Strong knowledge of storage platform including datacenter workings, It infrastructure, cloud computing and internet access etc.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Work with advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.
Challenge with working on complex technical problems and providing innovative solutions.
Work with teams, vendors, and consultants to determine the strategy for complex system changes, upgrades, and implementations.Perform Dialog Manager, CLIST, and JCL updates to support daily and weekly software migration.
Update and maintain the component's SharePoint Site (maintaining most recent work procedures and production documents and updating work requests).
Document and update the migration and installation of the application code when requested via the Online Software Release Form (OSRF), an OSO/DIET software audit tool.
Document details of migration and installation application code for the various OSO SDLC environments.
Participate in Dev/Ops meetings to help develop continuous migration and testing strategies.
Perform migration activities consistent with AGILE Dev/Ops methodologies and using Urban Code Deploy (UCD), OpenShift and Jenkins tools.
Install, uninstall and re-install the ConfigMgr/ MECM clients when necessary
Verify Client status and Health Manager and/or Configure MECM Client Health
Implement Client Health settings, activity settings and detail to include client remediation
All other duties as assigned or directed.
BASIC QUAIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree with 3+ years of experience
7+ years relevant experience of working with MECM (Microsoft endpoint Configuration Manager)
Experience initiating, planning and executing MECM patches and related platform projects execution.
Experience with Object-oriented and web programming experience in SQL; Java; JavaScript; VBScript; VB.NET; ASP; ASP.NET; C languages; HTML; XML; Install Shield; WiseScript; PowerShell: and/or other object-oriented programming languages.
Experience migrating and installing agency application code across both testing and production environments.
Experience deploying applications to multiple systems and platforms, including CICS and DB2 application modules, 4611 system changes, ACU applications on Linux, and WebSphere and Liberty on z/OS, utilizing the IBM Urban Code (UCD) tool.
Experience in SQL Server 2012; Server 2016; Server 2012; Server 2008; Windows 10 and Windows 7.
Experience using SCCM including experience with CM 2012.
Experience building, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting an enterprise software distribution infrastructure.
Knowledge of TCP/IP, Cisco, Networking, Server Administration, Microcomputer Maintenance and Troubleshooting, CompTIA A+, Technical writing, Active Directory, Virtual technology (application development, software migration and infrastructure), and Software distribution.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust, contract required
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Experience in developing, analyzing and maintaining JCL.
Have in-depth knowledge of deploying application code from the Enterprise Software Engineering Facility (ESEF) validation environment to the Programmatic Processing Facility (PPF), Management Information Services Facility (MISF), High Availability Facility (IHAF), High Availability Facility (HAF), and the Windows Development and Production Environment (WDPE), in integration, training, acceptance and production environments.
Experience with DB2 binds and implementing CICS and IDMS changes on the z/OS mainframe operating system.
Experience managing Time Sharing Option/Interactive System Productivity Facility (TSO/ISPF), Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM) files and utilize IBM utilities to create and update JCL procedures in support of the migration, restructuring, and maintenance of data including the file integrity of all data.
Experience installing and maintaining:
Hierarchical File System (HFS) and Zettabyte File System (ZFS) for UNIX System Services file storage systems.JAVA application code and WebSphere Application Server (WAS) code on the Linux platform.Amazon Web Server application code in a Cloud environment.Experience in updating and configuring WebSphere MQ application code.
