Manager, MTS Business Analyst
Job Description
STATUS: Full-time / Exempt
REPORTS TO: Sr. Vice President of Project Management and Information Technology
LOCATION: Corporate Office
COMPENSATION: The starting salary for this position is expected to be between $85,000 - $120,000. The actual salary will be determined based on experience and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week, including Saturdays (as needed)
Position Overview
This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the Business Analyst team's activities, including recruitment, training, mentorship, and troubleshooting. The position manages vendor relationships and ensures the timely resolution of support tickets and system escalations. It supports the Credit Union’s technology platforms, coordinating system updates, migrations, integrations, and replacements, while ensuring effective communication of outages or updates. Additionally, the role leads the credit union’s project implementation and administration efforts by assigning Business Analysts as project administrators, providing guidance, and managing project teams, dashboards, and related tools.
Essential Responsibilities
Leadership/Organization Administration
Direct staff activities including hiring, training, coaching and performance appraisals. Individuals should be developed to provide for continuity of business and to attain their own individual goals.
Develop, train, and mentor new and existing MTS Business Analysts.
Oversee MTS Business Analysts level support for troubleshooting efforts to ensure that all escalations are handled timely and accurately.
Back up technology leadership and provide direct support as needed with staff and technology.
Assist in supporting succession planning and coaching for all staff in collaboration with other Credit Union leadership to further develop staff.
Oversee MTS Business Analysts support tickets to ensure proper handling for report issues, including but not limited to, timely responses, well documented supporting materials, and sound solutions.
Maintain general working knowledge of all MTS Business Analysts responsibilities to ensure coverage, backups, and availability to made sounds decisions.
Responsible for managing vendor relationships with associated technology vendors per policy and procedure.
Technology Systems Support
Support technology and projects for Third Party Credit Union systems such as, but not limited to, Online/Mobile Platform, Loan Origination System, Mortgage Origination System, Credit/Debit Card Processing Platforms, Automated Teller Machines, and Payment Processing Systems.
Support technology systems new releases, patches, hot fixes, and other updates as needed.
Provide team support for mergers, system integrations, and/or system replacements.
Ensure service communications for system outages, upgrades, and/or for other events are sent out timely.
Project Implementation & Administration
Oversee the Credit Union's project implementation and administration processes, including but not limited to assigning Business Analysts as project administrators, project support, core team members, providing guidance, maintaining the project dashboard, and managing other project-related functions.
Champion and support complex project teams to support conversions, integrations, and new technology builds.
Assign project support roles to various teams and provide guidance/direction to ensure project tasks are completed successfully and timely.
Act as technology liaison and collaborate with cross functional and cross departmental project teams.
Follow and promote Credit Union’s adherence to the project implantation procedure.
Intranet
Oversee team responsible for employee intranet, document management engine, and knowledge base.
Ensure Intranet enhancements/changes are completed timely and accurately.
Other
Participate in special assignments and projects as requested by Management.
Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reports for management and Credit Union.
Performs acting duties of Vice President of Information Technology Solutions as required during his/her absence.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience: Applicants must possess the following qualifications or an equivalent combination of education and experience:
Education: 2-year degree in a technical/business or related area, or mix of education/experience (4 year degree preferred)
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in technology administration/business analyst/project management
Experience: 2-3 years of management experience
Technical & Systems/Equipment Proficiencies:
Microsoft Office Suite, particularly: Outlook, Word, and Excel
Office equipment, such as computers, printers, copiers, and fax machines, as well as multi-line phone systems
Programming languages: COBOL, JAVA, XML
Cash Machine technologies
Teller and Banking Software

Licensure Requirements
In compliance with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (S.A.F.E. Act) and the statute’s regulations, applicants must be eligible to register as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO). Candidates being considered will be subject to a credit check and fingerprinting.
