Job Description

CTG is hiring a Mainframe Developer with strong COBOL and z/OS expertise to support critical healthcare systems for our client.

Location: Sacramento, CA
Duration: 12 months

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM

  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions

  • Support CA-MMIS / healthcare claims systems

  • Perform unit, integration, and regression testing

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of mainframe development experience

  • Strong skills in COBOL, z/OS, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS

  • Experience with healthcare or claims processing systems (preferred)

  • Familiarity with REXX, TSO/ISPF, and mainframe tools

  • Exposure to test automation tools (e.g., Selenium) is a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $95,000 to $100,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
