Infrastructure Engineer (IBM AS/400 Administration)

Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin (On-site; remote possible on a case-by-case basis).

Key Responsibilities

Administer IBM i systems, including installations, PTF deployment, and HMC maintenance.

Manage system firmware, software installations, configurations, and security updates.

Monitor daily operations, verifying hardware and system availability.

Review system and application logs, ensuring successful completion of scheduled jobs and backups.

Diagnose and resolve system or application issues.

Generate monthly system performance reports and assist in capacity planning.

Maintain third-party software and support disaster recovery testing.

Required Skills

5+ years of IBM i (AS/400) administration experience.

5+ years of HMC maintenance experience.

5+ years performing system and firmware upgrades.

Preferred Skills

Experience with I Doctor, Mimix, and DR testing.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Ideal Candidate

An experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a solid IBM i (AS/400) background, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work on-site in Pleasant Prairie, WI.
