IDMS Mainframe Database Administrator, Part Time

As an IDMS Mainframe Database Administrator (Part Time) you will have the opportunity to do the following: Database Management: Manage IDMS databases, ensuring optimal performance, integrity, and security.
System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks, including patch updates and configuration changes.
Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement effective database backup and recovery strategies.
Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
Performance Tuning: Monitor database performance and conduct tuning to optimize efficiency.
Collaboration: Work with application developers and system administrators to contribute to database design and system architecture.
Compliance and Security: Ensure databases comply with industry standards and security protocols.
Capacity Planning: Anticipate and plan for future database capacity requirements.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications
4+ years' experience as an IDMS Database Administrator with broad experience with legacy versions of Mainframe Server platforms.
Experience and certification with COBOL a plus.
DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret.
CompTIA Security + certification.
Pay Transparency Statement

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
