Join Our Team: Full Stack Software Engineer at State Farm
State Farm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Software Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and deliver multi-platform solutions supporting the automation Enterprise Test Data Management. You will collaborate closely with a dynamic group of engineers and stakeholders in a fast-paced, supportive environment that emphasizes continuous improvement and customer success.
What You’ll Do
Develop Solutions: Analyze business and technical requirements to design and implement software solutions that effectively address consumer and stakeholder needs.
Design, Build, and Maintain: Create, test, and deliver innovative, scalable, and reliable software for production environments using iterative and agile development methodologies.
Collaborate Effectively: Partner closely with engineering team members, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to ensure a successful project delivery.
Optimize and Troubleshoot: Continuously enhance software performance, scalability, and security while identifying and resolving issues.
Take Ownership: Independently manage your tasks and responsibilities, delivering high-quality work on time while seeking support when needed.
Learn and Grow: Continuously expand your technical expertise by staying current with emerging technologies, cloud platforms, automation tools, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
Experience: 3+ years of software development experience, or demonstrable expertise in designing and building robust software solutions.
Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, or comparable programming languages.
Data Expertise: Hands-on experience with diverse data types, including structured data (e.g., relational databases, RDS, SQL) and unstructured data formats (e.g., JSON, Parquet, XML). Familiarity with data design principles and data integration techniques is a plus.
Application Frameworks: Strong knowledge of application frameworks, development best practices, and software development lifecycle processes.
DevOps & Automation: Practical experience with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and building automation solutions.
Problem-Solving & Teamwork: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities combined with a customer-focused mindset. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and clearly communicate.
Continuous Improvement: Willingness to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
Mainframe Knowledge: Experience with mainframe systems and automation leveraging Python and other non-mainframe technologies is desirable.
Infrastructure & Cloud: Solid understanding of infrastructure management and cloud platforms, with a focus on AWS. Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, and RDS is preferred.
Automation & Scripting: Practical, hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting languages to enhance operational efficiency.
Resourcefulness & Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to be resourceful and maintain a strong customer-centric approach in all tasks.

Potential starting salary range: $104,000 - $130,000
Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
