Finance & Reporting Business Analyst - Hybrid, Montreal, QC
The Opportunity:
Strategio is hiring Finance & Reporting Business Analysts with proven experience in financial reporting, investment data, and business intelligence delivery. This opportunity places you at the center of one of Canada’s largest investment operations, where you'll help shape critical investment reports and support executive decision-making with insight-driven dashboards.
As a Strategio Technologist, you will engage directly with data warehousing teams, BI developers, and financial stakeholders to ensure end-to-end accuracy of reporting solutions. You’ll translate financial needs into clean data structures, define test cases, validate mappings, and help drive reporting excellence across the enterprise.

As a Strategio Data Analyst, you will:
Define detailed reporting specifications, including required data elements, business logic, KPIs, and visual layouts.
Map and validate data from investment data warehouses or data hubs into BI platforms.
Collaborate with Power BI developers to build dashboards aligned with investment and accounting teams’ needs.
Write and execute test cases for data validation and reporting logic across platforms.
Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) and guide end users on the functionality of reports and dashboards.
Partner with finance, operations, and data teams to ensure alignment across source systems and downstream reporting.
Core Skills:
Proven experience in finance, accounting, or business analysis within a data or BI environment.
Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Power BI for creating financial reports.
Deep understanding of investment data structures, accounting principles, and performance metrics.
Hands-on experience working with or mapping data from platforms like SimCorp IMW, Aladdin, Eagle, Charles River, or State Street Alpha.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. CPA or equivalent credential is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact across business and technical functions.
Based in or able to commute to Montreal, QC. Hybrid work model (3 days/week onsite).
English fluency required; French is a plus.
Nice-to-Haves:
Familiarity with SimCorp Extractors or Data Format Setup (DFS).
Understanding of data integration, data warehouses, and batch scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M)
Certifications such as CFA, FRM, or CBAP are a plus
Experience working in Agile or ITIL-aligned environments
