Developer III - Software Engineering - Mainframe support
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain mainframe-based applications with high code quality.
Perform manual and automated tasks on mainframe systems and monitor transactions.
Conduct defect RCA, debugging, and performance optimization.
Support release, configuration, and deployment activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior developers.
Track operational metrics, report issues, and ensure SLA compliance.
Required Skills & Experience
2–4 years of experience in software development, operations, or tech support.
Hands-on knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DBMS, and mainframe tools.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good understanding of Agile processes and SDLC principles.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to healthcare domain and terminology.
Experience in mainframe automation or process improvement.
Certifications in software engineering or mainframe systems.
