Job Description
General Summary:
Perform daily tasks in data center operations.
These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Running scheduled and unscheduled jobs
Backup media management
Monitoring of systems, and miscellaneous tasks within the department.
This positon will also monitor data center environment to ensure proper temperature and humidity.
Job Details
Duties & Responsibilities:
Monitor jobs controlled by an automated scheduling system; monitor multiple systems. 55%
Schedule batch production jobs using command line entries, workbooks, and the Job Scheduler. 15%
Process email and phone requests. 20%
Troubleshoot problems and assist in problem resolution. 5%
Notify appropriate personnel of exceptions (ex: delay running of scheduled report). 5%
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
Good organizational skills.
Knowledge of hardware configurations.
Knowledge of AS/400, UNIX and Microsoft commands.
Good oral communication skills.
Qualifications
Work Experience &/or Education:
High school diploma preferred.
Multi-platform operations experience preferred, including AS/400, UNIX and Microsoft.
Experience with ticketing systems (i.e. ServiceNow)
