Overview

The AVP Data Integration is responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of data transfer technology and operations across Gallagher Bassett's global network. This leadership role involves developing and implementing strategic initiatives to ensure efficient, secure, and compliant data exchanges between clients and Gallagher Bassett. This role will lead a team and collaborate with management to align data transfer processes with organizational goals.


How you'll make an impact

  1. Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and execute a global strategy for data transfer technology and operations that supports Gallagher Bassett's business objectives.

    • Lead the design and implementation of innovative data transfer solutions to enhance efficiency and security.

    • Establish and maintain global standards and best practices for data transfer processes.

  2. Team Management:

    • Cultivate a collaborative team environment that elevates capability and delivers high-quality outcomes

    • Implement shared planning, clear roles, and transparent workflows to streamline cross-functional collaboration

    • Build skills through targeted coaching, peer learning, and structured knowledge transfer to increase team versatility

  3. Technical Experience:

    • Experience in designing, deploying, and managing data transfer tools / technologies that support international integration to optimize processes.

    • Advanced skills in SQL and experience with scalable database management systems that can handle large volumes of data across multiple regions.

    • Expertise in data transfer protocols and standards, including FTP, SFTP, APIs, and cloud-based solutions, to facilitate efficient global data movement.

  4. Data Security and Compliance:

    • Ensure all data transfer activities comply with international data protection regulations and industry standards.

    • Implement robust security protocols to safeguard sensitive information during transfer.

    • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks.

  5. Client and Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Serve as the primary liaison with key clients and stakeholders regarding data transfer strategies and issues.

    • Develop strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction.

    • Collaborate with senior management and other departments to align data transfer initiatives with business priorities.

  6. Process Optimization and Innovation:

    • Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance global data transfer processes.

    • Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation.

    • Lead initiatives to integrate new technologies and methodologies into data transfer operations.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Extensive experience in data management, transfer, or related roles.

  • Proven leadership experience in managing and developing teams.

  • Willingness to roll up sleeves with a hands-on approach, proactively tackling complex tasks, removing blockers, and supporting teammates to drive outcomes.

  • Strong understanding of international data security and compliance regulations.

  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced global environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the insurance or risk management industry.

  • Familiarity with Gallagher Bassett systems and processes.

  • Certification in data management or related fields.

  • Solid understanding of legacy and modern architectures (mainframe, microservices, APIs, cloud-native, event-driven) to integrate and modernize systems.

Working Conditions:

  • This position may require international travel to client sites and Gallagher Bassett offices.

  • Flexible working hours may be necessary to accommodate global operations.

 
Compensation and benefits

We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
