The Impact you will have in this role:
The Associate Director of IAM business operations is a critical role in the IAM organization. This function is responsible for the product management of the IAM tools and technologies used to manage access, and the strategy and governance of the IAM role-oriented and policy-based methodologies and access management. The candidate should be knowledgeable in: Mainframe RACF, AWS Cloud Based Technologies and related IAM Roles, Authentication mechanisms, MFA, SSO, Zero Trust Concept and privileged access management disciplines.
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage, coordinate and partner with teams globally.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
Mitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
Lead IAM Business Operations
Creation and lifecycle management of roles
Creation and lifecycle management of entitlements
Creation and lifecycle management of NHID
Look for improvement in business process and efficiency through automation
Lead IAM product definition, requirements and development
Support project management functions to ensure deliverables are met.
Ensure IAM engineering is aligned with deliverables
Escalate as required when blockers cannot be resolved
Lead IAM vendor tool selection/product recommendations
Manage IAM delivery project consisting of multiple work streams, phases or releases
Lead in development of documentation, subject training, and other knowledge material on IAM
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key collaborators at varying organizational levels
Build working relationships with IAM vendor product management, development and engineering teams
Identifies, assesses and solves complex business problems.
Interacts with senior management on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach.
Closely follows the strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near term goals.
Has latitude in decision-making and acts independently to determine methods and procedures.
Assist IAM strategy, roadmap and vision definition
Assist creation of IAM solution architecture and design
Qualifications:
Minimum of 12+; years of related experience.
Bachelor's degree is preferred with Masters or equivalent experience.
Previous engagement in the Financial Services industry is desirable but not essential.
Talents Needed for Success:
Experience in: Security & Risk/Identity, Access Management, Privileged Access Management, Technology Security Controls including Cloud Based Infrastructure and Development Security Operations
Minimum 12+; years’ experience developing identity management strategies, architectures and implementation plans
Solid experience with IAM tools – such as Hitachi Identity Manager, Privileged Access Manager; Hashi Corp Vault, RSA IG&L, Cyber-Ark, PlainID, or similar tools.
Familiarity with federated identity and web services security concepts such as SAML, Liberty ID-FF and ID-WSF, WS-Federation, OpenID, OAuth and WS-Security, Zero Trust Concepts and Technologies.
Experience of Identity Governance & Administration
Experience in Access Management & Federation
Experience facilitating business process design as it relates to managing identities and access privileges
Experience leading business requirements gathering and translating those into system requirements
Role Based Access Controls (RBA) and Policy Based Access Control (PBAC) and Definition
Audit & Risk Controls
Experience implementing packaged or custom IAM solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience managing projects through the full system development lifecycle
