Job Description
We are hiring an experienced AS400 SME with strong expertise in IBM AS400 / iSeries systems, RPG programming, and Banking & Payment applications.
The ideal candidate will act as a Technical SME / L3 Production Support expert, responsible for supporting mission-critical banking systems, resolving production issues, fixing defects, handling deployments, and ensuring stability of payment-related applications.
This role requires a senior professional who can work across application support, troubleshooting, bug fixing, and platform transition / migration activities in a high-availability banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the AS400 Subject Matter Expert (SME) for banking and payment applications
Provide L3 Production Support for critical business applications running on AS400 / iSeries
Analyze and resolve production incidents, defects, bugs, and system issues
Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring production problems
Support banking payment systems and ensure smooth transaction processing
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to batch jobs, interfaces, system logs, and application failures
Support application deployments, release activities, and post-deployment validations
Work on customer migration / platform transition initiatives, ensuring continuity and system stability
Collaborate with business users, operations teams, development teams, and infrastructure teams
Provide technical guidance and support during critical incidents and production outages
Maintain support documentation, knowledge articles, and operational runbooks
Ensure adherence to incident management, change management, and release management processes
